Winter 2017 –
Autumn in to winter is always an interesting time, I never want the colour to slip away and wonder where the inspiration to create will come from.
Recent work –
A selection of recent work, which has included some of the usual creative responses to an environment along with the development of the more considered globe series, hope you like.
New woodland explorations
I love that moment when something new (to me) is realised! Often I find it difficult to move work forward and spend a good deal of time creating work that is similar other than the location or setting. I don’t mind this, as its always the location that inspires me to continue making a series of work, but when something new does evolve, it is a very nice and welcome development.
I’ve been enjoying developing the winter stick work and seeing where the creative journey takes me.
Winter stick works –
Foxy and I have been taking advantage of the quiet period work wise to get out locally and try some new approaches (and some tried and tested ones) to making work.
Winter Works –
Always find the change from Autumn to Winter a tricky period in terms of my creativity, but heres a selection of what I’ve been inspire to make.
Creative moments from Anston Stones
Anston Stones is my playground, its right on my doorstep and the place I go to be inspired by the surroundings, the changes in the seasons and the abundance of resource from which to inspired. I get feedback from people who bump into me when Im playing and company from my dog who is normally in tow and also the wildlife that seem to accept me the longer I’m there. Had some lovely encounters with the Kingfishers that have resided there this year and often have a Jay that happily hops past along the woodland floor.
