Winter 2017 –
Autumn in to winter is always an interesting time, I never want the colour to slip away and wonder where the inspiration to create will come from.

Temporary works made using fallen leaves in 2017.

Ulley Country Park –
Come rain or shine I’ve been returning to Ulley Country Park to play with the stones at the reservoir, and getting a bit of a reputation along the way. So much so that ill be leading a stone balancing workshop at the next Cafe and Open Day on July 16th.
Beach Art, Good Music and Whitby –
There’s nothing better! Thanks Andy Whitehouse and the Silver Darlings for inviting me along to lead a beach workshop for the bus load of Sheffield music lovers. A lovely day all round.

European Stone Stacking Championships in Dunbar
I had such a good time up in Dunbar at the Stone Stacking Championships, met and shared a beach with some amazing people. Heres a selection of work I made during my weekend.
Me with the European Stone Stacking champ, Mr Pedro Duran.
Mr Ki Hulme at work, along with one of his very nice pieces.
On to my weekend –
New woodland explorations
I love that moment when something new (to me) is realised! Often I find it difficult to move work forward and spend a good deal of time creating work that is similar other than the location or setting. I don’t mind this, as its always the location that inspires me to continue making a series of work, but when something new does evolve, it is a very nice and welcome development.
I’ve been enjoying developing the winter stick work and seeing where the creative journey takes me.
